Privacy policy

Last updated 3 June 2026Effective 3 June 2026Version 1.0

Privacy isn't a footer for us — it's the foundation Stride is built on. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, what we never do, and the control you keep over your data.

01Overview

Stride is an energy-aware planning app made by SellerSmith (BraveBits), based in Vietnam. This policy covers the Stride iOS app, its Apple Watch companion, widgets, and any related TestFlight beta builds.

The short version: Stride keeps your energy logs in your own protected account, uses them only to help you plan your day, and never sells, rents, or advertises against your data. You can export or permanently delete everything at any time.

Private by architecture
Every record you create is scoped to your account with row-level security. No other user — and no advertiser — can ever read it.

02What we collect

We collect as little as possible, and only what the app needs to do its job:

  • Energy logs — the peak / crash signals you tap, with a timestamp. This is the core of Stride.
  • Calendar events — read-only event titles and times, used to find conflicts with your energy peaks. See Calendar access.
  • Account identifier — an opaque Apple user ID from Sign in with Apple. No password, and an email only if you choose to share a relay address.
  • Basic device & diagnostic data — app version and crash reports, so we can fix problems. Never tied to advertising.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health records, or browsing activity.

03How we use your data

Your data is used to operate the features you can see, and nothing more:

  • To reflect your energy rhythm back to you and highlight your best hours.
  • To surface conflicts between your calendar and your capacity.
  • To generate the gentle, optional prompts from your AI coach.
  • To keep the app reliable, secure, and free of bugs.

We never use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

04Sign in with Apple

Stride uses Sign in with Apple as its only sign-in method. This means there's no password to leak and no email list to harvest. If you use Apple's Hide My Email relay, we only ever see the relay address — never your real one.

You can revoke Stride's access at any time from Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple on your device.

05Calendar access

If you connect your Apple or Google Calendar, Stride requests read-only access by default. We read event titles and times solely to detect conflicts with your energy peaks.

Read-only, never silent
Stride never edits, moves, or deletes a calendar event without you explicitly asking it to in that moment.

06AI processing

Your coach prompts are generated using Gemini on Google Vertex AI. When a prompt is needed, a minimal, de-identified summary of your recent patterns is sent for processing and the response is returned to your device.

Under our enterprise terms with Google Cloud, your content is not used to train Google's foundation models. Your raw energy logs never leave your Stride account in identifiable form.

07Storage & security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Every row of your data is protected by row-level security, so access is enforced at the database level and bound to your account.

We retain your data only while your account is active. Diagnostic logs are kept for a short rolling window and then deleted.

08What we never do

  • We never sell or rent your data to anyone, for any reason.
  • We never run third-party ad or tracking SDKs in the app.
  • We never train AI models on your personal logs.
  • We never share your data except with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service, under strict contracts.

09Your rights & control

You're in charge of your data. From inside the app you can:

  • Export a copy of your energy logs at any time.
  • Delete everything with a single tap — your account and all associated records are erased and cascade immediately.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, or restrict processing of your data under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any of these, email us at huy282002.work@gmail.com.

10Changes & contact

If we make a material change to this policy, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app before it takes effect. Stride is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
